Fear of student protests: Police surround Parliament with metal fencing (VIDEO)

As Parliament holds its plenary session today, young people and students have announced another protest, this time outside Parliament. Meanwhile, police have stepped up security, cordoning off the area outside the building.

Several metal barriers have also been installed. A fire engine was seen entering Parliament’s courtyard.

These measures come after 10 days of tense protests, which have included clashes between police and protesters.
