Fears over student protest/ Police surround Parliament, cordon off area with metal fencing (VIDEO)

As Parliament holds a plenary session today, young people and students have announced another protest, this time outside Parliament. Meanwhile, police have stepped up security, cordoning off the area outside Parliament.

Several metal barriers have also been put in place. A fire engine was seen entering Parliament’s courtyard.

These measures come after 10 days of tense protests, which have included clashes between police and demonstrators.
