Russia is in principle ready to resume talks with Ukraine and the United States in November, with the aim of ending the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov following a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
According to Ushakov, the next round of negotiations should focus on creating “a security system for Russia and Ukraine after the end of the conflict,” Reuters reported.

“The new round of talks could take place in Abu Dhabi around mid-November,” Ushakov said in an interview with the Vesti television channel.
The latest negotiations between the three parties took place in February.
Ushakov said that Witkoff conveyed to Putin information about talks held the previous day in Oslo, where the US representative met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Norwegian prime minister and the Finnish president.
According to the Russian adviser, Witkoff presented “several new approaches and new points in the positions of the Europeans and Kyiv,” but, he said, they did not contain many useful elements for resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
Putin and the US envoy held a three-hour meeting, during which they discussed the implementation of the October 9 agreement between the Russian president and US President Donald Trump on supplying Russian oil to US and global markets.
The crisis in Iran was also addressed during the meeting, Ushakov said.
“Vladimir Putin stressed that the possibilities of diplomacy are far from exhausted and that it is both possible and necessary to reach agreements with Tehran, which is our strategic partner,” he said.
The Kremlin adviser added that Russia had reaffirmed its readiness to continue efforts aimed at finding political and diplomatic solutions to the Iranian issue.
