In a Facebook post, Nagavci said that LVV had raised concerns from the outset about the law’s expedited passage, its contents and the potential constitutional issues it raises.

She emphasized that, despite its reservations, LVV supported the law in the belief that it would produce tangible results in support of former KLA leaders.

Nagavci’s Facebook statement:

Not even two weeks have passed since the amendments to the Specialist Chambers Law were adopted, and there are already calls for the President to return the law to the Assembly for reconsideration.

As the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement, from the outset we have highlighted our concerns about the haste with which this law was advanced, its contents and the potential constitutional problems.

Our position on the Specialist Court has been clear since 2015. We opposed its creation, and that position remains unchanged. However, we have stressed that the proposed legal amendments do not overturn court decisions, replace the appeals process or guarantee the return of former KLA leaders to their homeland.

Despite our reservations, we supported the law in the hope that every effort in favor of the liberators would produce concrete results. Today, as calls are being made for its reconsideration, precisely the concerns we raised before its adoption have resurfaced.

We have called for, and continue to call for, a genuine state strategy, serious legal preparation for the appeals process and a strong diplomatic effort to defend the historical truth of Kosovo’s liberation war.

Justice for the liberators requires seriousness, institutional responsibility and legally sound solutions—not simply the adoption of laws through expedited procedures.
