Many other Socialist Party figures, whether active or not, have also openly expressed their opposition to Prime Minister Rama.
It is learned that Elisa Spiropali was the only person absent from today’s Socialist parliamentary group meeting. A few days ago, she addressed Edi Rama in an open letter, calling for a political solution to the situation created by the student protests.
In her message, Spiropali urged Rama not to hide behind the parliamentary majority, stressing the need for political responsibility and reflection in the face of developments in the country.
It is also learned that, in his speech, Rama asked Socialist MPs to continue their work and maintain regular contact with citizens in order to hear their grievances firsthand.
According to Rama, MPs’ failure to go out into the field is creating the perception among the public that they are hiding because of the protests.
