A dentistry student taking part in the youth protest sent a strong message to the political class and parents, saying the protesters are not seeking negotiations but the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

He said young people are no longer afraid and that, in his view, this is why they are facing violence. As an example, the student mentioned four girls who, he said, stood in front of the water cannon the previous day without being afraid.
“We don’t want negotiations; we want his resignation. They have taken away our fear. That’s why they use violence against us. Yesterday, four girls stood in front of the water cannon; they weren’t afraid.
We want Rama’s resignation; they can’t stop us. Something irreversible has happened. We call on parents: your children are taking to the streets and paying for your mistakes. Indifference is just like a crime. You have to come out here and fill Tirana. They have done every bad thing to us,” the student said.
