Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, received a delegation from the Women’s Economic Forum. The meeting examined opportunities for the Assembly to cooperate in drafting and advancing legislative policies for women’s economic empowerment.

In a social media post, Haxhiu said the discussion included steps requiring interinstitutional engagement and ways to cooperate with the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo on gender equality issues. She said the aim is to advance legislative policies that support women’s economic empowerment from this perspective.
Haxhiu congratulated the Women’s Economic Forum on the 10th anniversary of its founding and expressed her readiness to cooperate on matters of mutual interest.
She said the Forum’s experience and expertise could support the work of the Assembly, including through training for members of parliament and assistance to parliamentary committees.
