As he showed the wound on his hand, the protester claimed that he had been injured that day as a result of their intervention. He explained that he had joined the gathering to demand better living conditions, higher wages and a solution to the problem of unemployment.
The citizen said that, like the other participants, he was demanding the departure of the person who, as he put it, was “up there.” According to him, well-being and an improvement in economic conditions are rights that belong to citizens, not extraordinary demands. To illustrate his dissatisfaction with their income, he said that they work and are paid 300,000 lekë.
In his accusation, the protester also raised allegations about the officers’ conduct toward those taking part in the gathering. He claimed that, in addition to using tear gas, the police had also insulted them by cursing their family members.
Criticizing the state and the police over the gas used, the citizen referred ironically to the officers as brave men and called them sellouts. He said he was not mentioning how heavily he had been exposed to the gas, but also emphasized the insults that, according to him, had come from the police. Outraged, he questioned the country in which they live, noting that it is 2026.
Despite what he claimed to have experienced, the protester said that he had not left until the protest ended and that he would take part again. He insisted that citizens must continue to demand their rights.
At the end of his statement, he accused the officers of considering themselves God, while emphasizing that there is only one God. Referring to the blood that had been shed, the protester said that they, too, would wash that blood one day.
