Committee for Communities approves amendments to anti-money laundering law

The Committee on the Rights and Interests of Communities and Returns has voted in favor of the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating Terrorist Financing, after reviewing it in the context of communities’ rights and interests.

At the meeting, committee chair Fahrush Rexhepi said the report of the Functional Committee on Budget, which includes 12 amendments, had been received.

“We have received the report from the Functional Committee on Budget. This report has 12 amendments,” Rexhepi said.

Discussion of the committee’s scope of work and its work plan for the autumn 2026 session was postponed until the next meeting.
