London Underground passengers were treated to a rare sight over the weekend when the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, appeared on public transport with her 11-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte.
The two travelled on the Elizabeth line, named after Charlotte’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. They sat next to each other as one passenger filmed the moment.

According to ABC, Kate and Charlotte got off at Tottenham Court Road station in central London. The area is known for its large number of shops, museums and theatres.
The journey was part of a private family outing, and Kensington Palace has not commented on the occasion.
A day earlier, Kate Middleton had been in Northern Ireland with her husband, Prince William, heir to the British throne.
Their appearance on the Tube attracted particular attention, as members of the British royal family rarely use public transport in their everyday lives.
