A woman was hit by a motorcycle this evening while walking along the Gramsh-Cërrik national road.

The accident occurred at around 6:25 p.m. Preliminary information suggests that the motorcyclist was traveling at high speed when he struck the pedestrian, causing her to fall onto the asphalt and sustain multiple bodily injuries.
Because of her injuries, the woman temporarily lost consciousness at the scene.
After the collision, the motorcyclist stopped a vehicle that was passing nearby. With the help of the driver of that vehicle, he transported the injured woman to the hospital for medical treatment.
The motorcyclist then abandoned the motorcycle and fled the scene.
Police services are expected to arrive in the area to carry out procedural actions, document the accident and identify the motorcyclist.
