Fire in Ungrej advances toward homes, churches and cemeteries as Gjekmarkaj calls for urgent intervention

A serious situation has developed in Ungrej, Lezhë, where the fire is spreading through the Rras and Zimaj areas.

MP Agron Gjekmarkaj reacted on social media, warning that the flames are moving rapidly and have approached the homes in the villages.

According to him, the danger is not limited to the forests, as the community’s churches and cemeteries are also under threat.

Gjekmarkaj called on the responsible institutions to intervene immediately with all available forces and equipment. He warned that every minute of delay could further worsen the situation for residents.

The MP described the situation in Rras and Zimaj, in the Ungrej Administrative Unit of Lezhë, as extremely alarming, stressing that the flames have dangerously approached the homes and the sacred places where residents’ relatives are buried.
