Minister of Justice Jeton Shasivari held a working meeting with Granit Osmani, director of the Language Implementation Agency, to deepen institutional cooperation and ensure the uninterrupted application of the Law on the Use of Languages, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice.

During the discussions, it was emphasized that full compliance with this law constitutes a legal obligation and a fundamental pillar of the rule of law, legal certainty, and equal access for citizens to institutions.
Shasivari reaffirmed the Ministry of Justice’s commitment to strengthening institutional mechanisms that guarantee respect for legal norms and the protection of citizens’ linguistic rights.
For his part, Director Osmani noted that the Language Implementation Agency provides professional and practical assistance to state bodies in implementing the law, through guidelines, recommendations, and expert help. The agency oversees the advancement of the official use of the Albanian language, a right legally guaranteed for the community that constitutes at least 20 percent of the population.
Going forward, institutional cooperation will be intensified through coordination and joint activities, which will help in the more effective and continuous implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages in every state institution.
