Weather improves; IGJEUM warns autumn is expected to be warmer than normal

Temperatures have fallen across the country. In low-lying areas, minimum temperatures have dropped to 10 degrees Celsius, while in mountainous areas readings of 5 to 6 degrees have been recorded.

Maximum temperatures also fell, dropping to 19 to 20 degrees Celsius in low-lying areas. The sudden temperature change was caused by cold air masses moving in from the north, accompanied by humidity and rainfall. After this spell, the weather is expected to gradually improve.

According to IGJEUM, October, November and December are expected to bring temperatures above the long-term averages, continuing the trend of high temperatures seen this year.
