VLEN: Ahmeti Against the Ohrid Framework Agreement

Today, representatives of VLEN have denounced Ali Ahmeti for obstructing the adoption of the Law on Fair Representation, striking one of the main pillars of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.

The unreformed leaders of BDI, desperate that Albanians have relegated them to the opposition, are now taking steps that openly contradict the interests of the Albanian community.

In Reçicë e Vogël, according to VLEN, a dangerous scenario has been orchestrated. They aim to create the impression that the rights of Albanians are threatened only because BDI is not part of the Government. For them, Albanians enjoy rights exclusively when they hold power and their people sit in institutional seats.

The corrupt leadership of BDI cannot accept the fact that the majority of Albanians sent them into opposition. In retaliation, they have decided to block the law that would finally secure fair representation.

It was not enough that they misused European funds and failed to provide clean water for the residents of Zajaz and Gostivar. Nor was the “Soravia” affair in Skopje, the Daka Davidoviq case in Tetovo, and a series of suspicious deals enough. Now they are even exploiting the Albanian cause, calculating that chaos will return them to power. But this scenario no longer works.

BDI has already been completely unmasked. Citizens have long been clear about their way of operating. Behind the patriotic rhetoric lie only tender-seekers fighting for posts, privileges, and the opportunity to fill their pockets again.

Albanians have already shown them the way to the opposition once, VLEN says. If they continue to block the Law on Fair Representation and act against the Ohrid Framework Agreement, they will remain in opposition for a very long time.
