Violent Clash in Sarandë: Bike Rental Administrator Attacked with Hard Objects

A serious incident occurred today in Sarandë, near the tourist area of Syri i Kaltër.

According to police, the 27-year-old administrator of a bike rental business was struck with hard objects during a conflict over payment for damage caused by the loss of a bicycle key.

The young man suffered severe head injuries, but is out of danger for his life.

Sarandë police arrested a 43-year-old man from Kamza, suspected of intentional grievous bodily harm and disturbing public peace. Three other people suspected of participating in the conflict are also under investigation.

Police report that A. H., 45, the brother of the arrested man, and S. Ç., 20, are also suspected of involvement in the conflict.

At the conclusion of the initial investigative actions, the 43-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “intentional grievous bodily harm” and “disturbing public peace”.

Meanwhile, his brother, 45-year-old A. H., the citizen S. Ç., and the business administrator, A. L., are being prosecuted while at large for the offenses of “intentional light bodily harm” and “disturbing public peace”.

Police are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the conflict.
