A wave of Ukrainian missile and drone attacks struck the Russian city of Belgorod on the evening of Sunday, August 30, leaving 2 people dead and 16 injured.
Belgorod Deputy Governor Alexander Shuvayev said the two victims were killed when a commercial facility was hit. The attacks also sparked fires at seven warehouses in the city.

One of the strikes reportedly also hit the Belgorod power plant, where a fire subsequently broke out.
Among the targets was a warehouse belonging to Russian retail company Ozon. According to the company, employees were evacuated from the facility in time; however, the attack resulted in fatalities. Following the incident, Ozon temporarily suspended its operations in Belgorod.
Local reports say that a missile also hit the building housing a television station.
Strikes on Ozon warehouses began during the past week. They followed more than a month of attacks on facilities belonging to its main competitor, Wildberries. Ukrainian officials have accused Wildberries of supplying the Russian army with spare parts for drones and other equipment.
