Video/ Tragedy in Astana: 27-year-old woman jumps from the 15th floor and lands on a child’s stroller

A tragic incident has occurred in the city of Astana, Kazakhstan, where a 27-year-old woman ended her life by jumping from the 15th floor of a building.

During the fall, she landed on a child’s stroller, in which a two-year-old child was sitting. The impact was fatal, and the child died at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and the reasons that led the 27-year-old woman to take this extreme action.

Official data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations show that cases of children falling from heights remain a growing concern.

From January to May last year, 60 cases of children falling from windows were recorded.

Five of them died at the scene, while 55 other children were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

During 2024, authorities reported a total of 196 incidents of this nature.
