TEARS of joy began streaming down my face without warning, like a raging river with no return, when I heard that 30 countries were on the list of those waiting to purchase military equipment from the Albanian company…

But, as with every moment of happiness, the joy lasted only a few seconds and ended as soon as I heard that the World Bank, a financial institution, had also apparently joined the queue to buy military equipment manufactured in Albania.

Strange?

But strange occurrences in this country no longer last three days, only three minutes, until you read an article by Klod Tomorri explaining that, over five months, the company had a gross payroll of 5.8 million lek, or around 61,000 euros. In other words, this miracle of military equipment production has an average of 14 employees earning a gross salary of around 860 euros.

It could even have had only five workers because we live in the age of robotics, meaning its success should have been found in the technology or machinery used in production, which is listed under non-current assets.

On the balance sheet, at the end of 2025, the company’s fixed non-current assets amounted to 146,000 lek, or 1,500 euros. So even the World Bank, which has no need for military equipment, is waiting in line to buy military equipment from a company with 14 workers and machinery that costs less than an Asko espresso machine! I started crying again, but this time not from happiness, but out of pity at how this man ended up like this?!
