US Approves Licensing for Patriot Missile Production in Ukraine After Trump-Zelensky Meeting

The White House has taken a significant step in support of Ukraine, deciding to provide the country with the necessary licenses to produce advanced American-designed Patriot missiles on its own territory. This development came immediately after talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his American counterpart Donald Trump.

During an interview with Fox News, Zelensky assessed that Russia has lost its offensive momentum in the conflict, emphasizing that the transformation of Ukraine’s military and technological industry has fundamentally changed the course of the fighting. He revealed that the country has built a robust defense ecosystem involving around 500 companies engaged in developing modern weapons systems.

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the conflict has turned into an unceasing race of innovation, where every technology must be constantly improved to ensure battlefield superiority. “We are forced to move faster than Putin. He has more personnel, while we must protect the lives of our citizens by relying more on technology,” Zelensky stated.

The Ukrainian president stressed that expanding capabilities to strike military targets within the Russian Federation has shifted the balance of power on the battlefield. He claimed that Russian forces are suffering heavy losses, with around 30,000 soldiers killed or wounded each month, and accused Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin of continuing to reject any ceasefire or negotiation initiative.

Zelensky reaffirmed Kyiv’s readiness for a temporary cessation of hostilities that would pave the way for diplomatic dialogue, but blamed Moscow for lacking the will to negotiate.

Part of the conversation was also dedicated to the late American Senator Lindsey Graham, whom Zelensky described as one of Ukraine’s most devoted allies. He recalled that Graham had visited the country about ten times since the start of the war and possessed deep knowledge of the situation on the ground.
