Fadil Zogaj and Ekrem Selimi, the two veterans detained following the attack on the MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Fahrush Rexhepi, will not remain in pre-trial detention, as the Basic Court in Pristina has decided to terminate this measure against them.

This was confirmed by persons familiar with the case.
Both were suspected of committing the criminal offense “Attack on an official person in co-perpetration,” and as part of the proceedings, it was decided that they would be held in pre-trial detention.
However, it should be emphasized that the decision to terminate the pre-trial detention does not mean that the two veterans have been released or declared innocent.
Likewise, this does not imply that the investigations against them have been completed or halted.
