Truck carrying beehives overturns in Texas, around two million bees swarm into the air and alarm residents

An unusual accident occurred in Texas after a three-axle truck transporting beehives overturned, releasing around two million bees into the air.

The incident was recorded near the eastern city of Morrisville, prompting local emergency authorities to immediately warn residents to stay indoors because of the danger posed by the insects.

Footage shared on social media shows beekeepers wearing protective suits working amid dense swarms of bees, while many of the insects were seen clustered in trees near the crash site.

According to international media, emergency services managed to handle the situation relatively quickly, intervening to limit the danger and bring the incident under control.

Several hours after the incident, Orange County emergency services announced that the bees were being transported to local beekeepers, who became involved in efforts to save the colonies and keep losses to a minimum.

Authorities said no one was injured, while the event remains one of the most unusual incidents reported recently in the area.
