Tragedy with 6 victims in Athens, Albania’s Foreign Ministry responds: We share the grief of the affected families

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has responded following the tragic explosion in Athens, in which 6 people lost their lives, 3 of them Albanians. In a social media post, the Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences to the victims’ families.

It also wished those injured a speedy recovery, while stressing that this tragedy has a direct impact on Albania. Finally, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs expressed its solidarity with the affected families and the Greek people.

Statement by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs:

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life following the explosion and collapse of a building in Athens, with reports that three people of Albanian origin are among the victims. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of all those who lost their lives. Our thoughts are with them in their grief, and we wish those injured a speedy and full recovery. This tragedy has a direct impact on Albania. We share the grief of the affected families and express our solidarity with our Greek neighbors and the American people.
