Foreign Ministry: Mass grave in Kalludër shows that the wounds of the war in Kosovo have not healed

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs reacted on the social network “X” following the discovery of another mass grave in Kalludër, Kosovo, describing the event as a painful reminder that the consequences of the war remain unresolved.

According to the ministry, each such discovery represents not only an opportunity to identify the victims, but also direct evidence of the crimes committed. The remains found renew the need for the truth to be acknowledged, responsibility to be established, and justice to be served.

For families who have been waiting for more than two decades to learn what happened to their missing relatives, each identification represents a step toward dignity, truth, and justice. The ministry emphasized that Albania will continue to stand by Kosovo in uncovering the fate of missing persons, in efforts to achieve justice, and in preserving historical truth, underscoring that without truth there can be no lasting reconciliation.
