Supreme Court Gives Green Light, Trump Continues Construction of New Ballroom at the White House

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Donald Trump, allowing construction to continue on a large new structure on the White House grounds. The decision came after the court rejected a request from a cultural heritage organization that sought a permanent halt to this debated project.

In the minority were the three liberal-leaning justices and Chief Justice John Roberts.

Mr. Trump’s plan to demolish the East Wing and build a ballroom has drawn sharp criticism. Over time, the project has expanded to include dedicated drone defense spaces, while financial costs have steadily risen.

Meanwhile, the White House administration states that approximately 65% of the work has been completed so far.
