Special Prosecution File: The Sums Fatmir Sheholli Received from Serbian State Institutions for Espionage Activities

The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office has finalized the indictment against Fatmir Sheholli, charging him with two criminal offenses: “Espionage” and “Blackmail.” The 80-page document contains a series of pieces of evidence implicating Sheholli in these unlawful activities.

Klan Kosova has obtained the full documentation, which describes how Sheholli was involved in implementing a plan coordinated by Bojan Dimiç, an official of Serbia’s Security Intelligence Agency (BIA), aimed at undermining the interests of the state of Kosovo.

A significant portion of the evidence focuses on bank transactions confirming that Sheholli regularly benefited from payments originating from the Serbian state budget.

According to the data cited in the file, “during 2015, Sheholli received regular monthly salaries in his account at Komercialna Banka A.D. Belgrade from two official Serbian entities. These were the Tanjug News Agency, which paid a total of 386,000 dinars, and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, which paid 295,000 dinars, bringing the total amount received to 681,000 dinars.”

The indictment argues that this regular flow of funds, directly linked to institutions associated with the BIA and to Sheholli’s role, constitutes a clear indication that he was financed by a foreign power to act against national interests.

The document emphasizes that “in conjunction with the totality of the other evidence in the case, it has been established beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant carried out espionage activities for the benefit of the BIA and to the detriment of the Republic of Kosovo.”
