Shkodër stabbing: 18-year-old and his father arrested as accomplice

Shkodër police have continued their investigation and on-the-ground operations to establish the perpetrators and responsibilities for the incident that occurred at midday today in the “Vasil Shanto” neighbourhood.

During intensive checks, officers located and arrested the 18-year-old suspected of stabbing citizen V. K. inside the Polyclinic premises. His father, suspected of being an accomplice in the crime, was also arrested.

The operation was carried out by Serious Crimes Investigation specialists, in cooperation with Shkodër Police Station services, with the aim of apprehending and holding criminally accountable the individuals involved in the incident.

The arrested man, A. F., 18, a resident of Shkodër, is accused of the criminal offences of “intentional murder”, attempted and committed in collaboration, “unauthorised production, possession, purchase or sale of bladed weapons” and “disturbing the peace”.

A. M., 53, a resident of Shkodër and the 18-year-old’s father, was also arrested. He is charged with the criminal offence of “intentional murder”, attempted and committed in collaboration.

According to suspicions raised by the investigation, A. F. and A. M., acting together, wounded the 32-year-old V. K. with a sharp instrument, a knife, on the Polyclinic premises. The injured man is under medical care.

In connection with the same incident, police services earlier prevented another criminal act and arrested A. K., 41, the brother of V. K., in flagrante delicto. The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
