Suspected criminal case struck in Vau i Dejës, 38-year-old Euglen Buraku arrested with remote-controlled mine

A possible criminal incident was prevented in Vau i Dejës by Shkodër Police, who arrested a 38-year-old man transporting a remote-controlled mine. Meanwhile, another person suspected of being an accomplice has been declared wanted.

The operation, codenamed “Remote,” was carried out by the services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate, following information obtained through operational channels.

According to police data, in the early hours of the morning, in the village of Stajkë, the vehicle in which the suspect was traveling was stopped for inspection. During the check, police officers discovered and seized a remote-controlled mine connected to a mobile phone and adapted for detonation from a distance.

Also seized as material evidence were the vehicle, a mask, and two mobile phones.

After the completion of the initial investigative actions, citizen Euglen Buraku, 38, a resident of Spitallë, Durrës, was arrested. Likewise, E. P., 34, a resident of Durrës, was declared wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in this case.

Under the direction of the Prosecution, investigations are continuing to clarify the destination and purpose of transporting the explosive material, as well as to identify other persons who may be connected to this incident.
