Erjon Vishkulli is the well-known supporter of the national team who was seriously injured in the eye during the student protests. After undergoing surgery in Italy, he is now facing another important challenge for his eyesight.

Vishkulli shared a message of thanks on social media, while the student protests calling for Prime Minister Edi Rama to step down continue.

“At this difficult moment in my life, when after enduring great pain I am also facing another important challenge for the sight in my eye, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to everyone.

Special thanks to all my friends, relatives and Albanians wherever they may be in the world, who have stood by me with messages, phone calls, warm words and prayers. Every word from you has given me strength, hope and courage to keep moving forward.

At a time when the heart needs support, you showed me that I am not alone. The solidarity, love and respect you have shown me are of extraordinary value to me.

Thank you to all Albanians, wherever you are, for showing me that the Albanian heart is always there for one another, in good times and especially in difficult times.

Above all, I thank God for the strength, life and hope He gives me every day. I pray that this challenge will be overcome successfully and that we may all have health and blessings.

May God reward each and every one of you for your love and support!

Endless gratitude. May the number of good Albanians increase.”
