SDSM mocks Mickoski: From the economy to education, he claims to be an expert in every field

SDSM reacted after Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski returned from vacation, accusing him of coming back with statements and attacks against the opposition, farmers and other actors in the country instead of concrete results.

The opposition party ironically described his trip as a “scientific and educational excursion,” saying that Mickoski was trying to present himself as an expert in the economy, tourism, air traffic, technology, education and information technology.

In its reaction, SDSM also mentioned the prime minister’s statements about cleaning pipes in Gostivar and his claim that 1,200 projects are currently being implemented in the country.

The opposition also accused Mickoski of avoiding answers on issues related to history and the Macedonian Orthodox Church. According to SDSM, he continued to blame the opposition for spreading panic following reports about suspected contaminated water in Skopje.

“They knew one day earlier about the ‘hybrid attack’ on the water in Skopje. So why did they do nothing when they knew?” SDSM declared, stressing that the institutions had once again threatened to file criminal complaints and initiate prosecutions.

SDSM also criticized the way the government is dealing with farmers. According to the party, the farmers did not protest against buyers, but turned to the state to resolve problems related to subsidies, purchasing and the IPARD fund.

The party also commented on the investments presented by Mickoski as projects that are in the implementation phase. SDSM said there were three investments: one German, one American and another about which the prime minister provided no details.

In conclusion, SDSM returned ironically to Mickoski’s statement that he had spent his vacation with his family and had learned that “4+4 is not eight days, but seven.”

“He just did not tell us one thing: when will he go to Gostivar for a toast with Gostivar water?” SDSM asked.
