“Rama and Lamallari should be the ones declared non grata!” / Igballe Huduti reacts: They have created wounds for me, I have no ties to Iran

Igballe Huduti was declared non grata by the Republic of Albania, on the grounds that she poses a threat to national security.

She reacted during the program “Të Paekspozuarit” on MCN TV, where she said this is an injustice and that she has no ties to Iran, but has the right to protest.

Huduti said she will go to the Administrative Court, even as far as Strasbourg.

Part of the conversation:

Ylli Rakipi: Ms. Igballe, are you well?

Igballe Huduti: We are well. A little worried because of the injustices being done to us.

Ylli Rakipi: What happened to you? What have you done?

Igballe Huduti: My husband has been very worried. I am from Prizren. I am of Berisha descent.

Ylli Rakipi: Why did you come to this protest?

Igballe Huduti: Taking part in a protest is a democratic right. I came by car with my husband. I spent 100 euros on water and distributed it to the protesters. As a person raised with faith and human values, I was troubled by the situation of my Albanian people in Albania. A person who is not concerned about the general problems of a people is not worth calling a human being, let alone an Albanian.

Ylli Rakipi: Why were you declared non grata?

Igballe Huduti: Their claims are inaccurate. I will file a case in the administrative court in Albania. Rama and Lamallari should be the ones declared non grata; they should be non grata across all Albanian lands. I would have expected, and welcomed, a non grata declaration from Vucic, not from Ramovic. He has done me great injustice. If necessary, I will even go to the court in Strasbourg. It is my right to take part, just as many bloggers have done.

Ylli Rakipi: They accuse you of having relations with Iran.

Igballe Huduti: Albania is not an antisemitic country, but a country that loves its homeland, and without a homeland there is no God for me.

Ylli Rakipi: You were arrested in 2020. Why?

Igballe Huduti: That is in the past.

Ylli Rakipi: The past is our life.

Igballe Huduti: It was five years ago.

Ylli Rakipi: But what did you do?

Igballe Huduti: Thanks to the authorities in Kosovo, my innocence was established. There were allegations of committing terrorist acts, and I am not a terrorist. The Kosovo court is preparing six-figure compensation for me. I do not dare go out into the city. From a psychological and spiritual standpoint, my husband is ill. Those who have wronged me unjustly, I will take them to court.

Ylli Rakipi: Now, as non grata, you cannot come here anymore.

Igballe Huduti: If you had told me I could not go to Serbia, that would have been better. You have created a wound for me, one that still has not healed from the injustices of the Kosovo prosecution. I will seek accountability even in Strasbourg.

Ylli Rakipi: Do you have ties to Iran?

Igballe Huduti: No, I have no ties. Anyone who wants to verify it, go to the prosecutor’s office, ask the prosecutor, and he will give you all the documentation showing that I am clean. When a people are wronged, subjected to all kinds of oppression and ظلمs, that people becomes aware, grows conscious, becomes outraged and rebels, and is capable of bringing down even the greatest powers.
