Citizen protests against the government have continued for 99 days, as part of a movement accompanied by calls for systemic change and the launch of a revolution in Albania.

During the march in the capital, protesters demanded the unconditional resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while chanting, “Albania demands a revolution” and “Edi Rama, resign.”
The organizers have called for the broadest possible participation in the 100th protest and announced that they will surround the Prime Minister’s Office. The demands put forward also include the government’s departure and the formation of a technical government.
Protesters have warned that the action will continue in front of Parliament as well, with the return of the parliamentary session.
Parliament will convene on Tuesday, September 8, one day after the 100th protest, which is expected to usher in a week of intense political tensions.
