Prosecution publishes details on the stabbing of a minor in Mitrovica

The Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica has provided clarifications regarding the case of a minor being stabbed in South Mitrovica, an incident that occurred on July 2, 2026, at around 15:42.

For KosovaPress, the prosecution confirmed that three minors are suspected of having attacked a peer with a knife and that proceedings have been initiated against them for the criminal offense of “Light bodily injury.”

In the Prosecution’s response, it is stated that the incident is suspected to have occurred after a momentary disagreement, while the persons involved are minors aged around 13 to 15. According to the same clarification, the injured party had scratches in the knee region.

The Prosecution also stated in writing that the case is being handled under regular procedure.

The Kosovo Police, in its 24-hour report, also announced that the case remains under investigation.

The police statement says that it was reported that the victim, a Kosovar male, after a disagreement, was stabbed with a knife by three unknown persons. As a result, he suffered minor injuries and was sent for medical treatment, while the case is under investigation.
