President Begaj decrees Evis Sala’s dismissal, Klodiana Spahiu appointed health minister

Today, President Bajram Begaj decreed the dismissal of Ms. Evis Sala from her position as Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

The President of the Republic, H.E. Bajram Begaj, decreed the appointment of Ms. Klodiana Spahiu as Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

Klodiana Spahiu was proposed as health minister one day after Evis Sala announced her resignation. Following the President’s decree, Spahiu’s name will be submitted to Parliament, where it will be put to a vote in a plenary session.

After approval by Parliament, Klodiana Spahiu will take the oath and officially assume her duties at the head of the Ministry of Health.

Klodiana Spahiu is a Socialist Party member of Parliament for the Durrës district, and currently also serves as Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
