Following clashes between protesters and police a day earlier, authorities have increased the presence of security forces around Kosovo’s institutions.

From the early morning hours, members of the Kosovo Police were deployed in front of the parliament building, equipped with shields and other crowd-control equipment.
The protesters, who remained near the Government of Kosovo until shortly before midnight, are expected to march toward the institutions.
The protest is being held over demands for the approval of changes to the law on the Specialized Chambers.
Following the tense night, the situation today is again expected to be accompanied by an increased police presence in areas near the institutions.
