Passion in the middle of the beach / Italian couple caught in intimate acts on a rock, could even face prison

A middle-aged Italian man and woman were caught having sex in public on a rock in Borgo Prino, in the province of Imperia, Italy.

The incident was recorded in the middle of the day, during a sunny Sunday when the beach was packed with hundreds of holidaymakers, including children.

Even the scorching temperatures of the last days of August did not stop the couple from giving in to passion, but the place and time they chose could bring serious consequences for them.

The scene was noticed by beachgoers, who immediately alerted the police. Although there were reactions and calls from the beach, the two lovers did not stop their act immediately.

The first to intervene was an off-duty police officer who was in the area. He swam to the rock and asked the couple to stop and return to shore.

Afterward, the man and woman got dressed, while a police patrol escorted them to the police station for routine checks.

The two Italians now face legal consequences for engaging in indecent acts in a public place.

According to reports by Italian media, the violation may be punished with a fine of between 5,000 and 30,000 euros.

However, the case could become more serious because minors were also present at the scene, a circumstance that could lead to the case being assessed as a criminal offense.

If the authorities conclude that the criminal act was committed in the presence of minors, in the most serious scenario the couple could be sentenced to between four months and four years in prison.
