Participant from Germany at the 44th protest: Honored we stood up, what would have been done with the stolen billions

An Albanian living in Germany traveled with his family to attend the 44th opposition protest in Skënderbej Square, describing this moment as an event he could not have previously imagined. He said he felt honored to be among the gathered citizens, adding that he had long wondered why people were not reacting.

The participant drew attention to the figures reported by the High State Audit and raised the question whether anyone has ever calculated what improvements those misappropriated billions would have brought if they had been properly invested. According to him, besides institutions, citizens themselves bear a part of the responsibility, including those who have supported the current government and do not stand up to oppose.
