Call from the 44th protest: Abandon summer vacations, take to the boulevard

During the 44th consecutive rally in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, a participant made a strong appeal to the public, urging citizens to give up their vacation plans this season and join the wave of protests on “Martyrs of the Nation” Boulevard.

According to him, over these 44 days of expressing discontent, citizens have clearly voiced demands for more honesty in governance, decent jobs, and a more stable future within the country. He stressed that the main goal of this movement is to create conditions so that Albanians no longer see emigration as the only way out.

The protester closed his speech by calling on people to sacrifice their vacations for the sake of civic engagement. “For 44 days you have told this government that you don’t want theft, you want peace and more jobs. Above all, this square has shown that it wants its brothers and family members here in Albania. We don’t want to leave. We want to build our future right here. We stand for a new Albania. This year, there will be no vacations for Albanians. Vacations will be spent on ‘Martyrs of the Nation’ Boulevard. For the rest of your lives you can rest, but this year I call on you: boycott vacations!” he declared.
