Pamer: Growth Plan provides North Macedonia with 140 million euros

“North Macedonia has shown excellent results in implementing the Growth Plan, so the country will benefit from 140 million euros to support further development,” Pamer stated during today’s activity of the “Slavkov 3” initiative, organized at the European House in Skopje.

Pamer emphasized that Skopje must continue implementing reforms at the same pace and remain committed to integration into the European Union. He said that interest in EU enlargement is growing and that now, unlike before, discussions also include concrete countries that could join the Union.

In Vienna, on September 27, a ministerial conference will be held between the Western Balkan countries, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, within the “Slavkov 3” format. At this conference, the progress of the region’s countries towards the EU and the continuation of reforms are expected to be addressed.

Speaking about the new European Union enlargement strategy, which is expected to be published on September 30, he said that consultations on the various proposals have not yet concluded.

The Austrian ambassador also mentioned integration into the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) as one of the tangible benefits of approaching the EU, which enables lower costs for transfers and payments.
