Tomorrow, October 2, a special traffic regime will be implemented on several roads in central Skopje due to the official visit of Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission.

Skopje’s Department of Internal Affairs announced that the Road Traffic Safety Unit would intervene to organize and divert traffic. Temporary restrictions may be imposed on vehicles along the roads where the delegation will pass. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to follow the instructions of uniformed police officers.
Skopje is the final stop on Von der Leyen’s tour of the Western Balkans, which runs from September 30 to October 2 and includes Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia. The European Commission said the visit is focused on the next steps toward bringing the countries of the region closer to the European Union and their gradual integration. The implementation of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, worth six billion euros, is also a focus.
The European Commission’s official agenda states that during her stay in Skopje, Von der Leyen will meet with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski. /Telegrafi/
