Kosovo Police, in cooperation with the Special Prosecution Office, have arrested two people suspected of war crimes in the case known as the “Padalishte massacre.”
Pristina, October 29, 2026 — Kosovo Police’s War Crimes Investigation Directorate, with authorization from the Special Prosecution Office, has conducted a lengthy investigation to document the Padalishte massacre. The incident took place on March 26, 1999, in the municipality of Istog.

In coordination with the prosecutor in charge, investigators from the War Crimes Sector also carried out authorized operations involving units on the ground. As a result, on October 29, 2026, the suspects Z.B. and G.B. were located and arrested in the villages of Osojan and Cerkolez in the municipality of Istog.
Further action in this case will be taken in coordination with the Special Prosecution Office.
