On the first anniversary of her mastectomy, Jessie J shared a moving message with her followers after undergoing surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2025.

On Instagram, the 38-year-old singer posted a video recorded during her recovery period after the operation, in which she reflected on facing the illness and stressed the importance of regular health check-ups.

Last year, Jessie J revealed that the breast cancer had been detected early, paving the way for treatment to begin immediately. As part of this process, she underwent a right-sided mastectomy.

Just one month after publicly announcing that she is now “cancer-free,” the artist decided to share with fans a memory from one of the most difficult periods of her life.

“Check your breasts and armpits, people. It could save your life,” she wrote in the caption accompanying the video posted on social media.

With the humor that characterizes her, the singer pointed out that even at such a difficult moment, her appearance did not fully reveal the condition she was going through.

“I had a right-sided mastectomy and it’s crazy how much I didn’t look like I was in such a bad situation. Time to shine. June 12, 2025 changed me forever,” she wrote.

Jessie J also expressed special thanks to the doctor who supported her throughout the treatment.

“Thank you Dr. Gui. You are a hero to me forever,” Jessie J concluded in her message.
