“No more retreat”, Bahtiri speaks about the removal of Serb prosecutors and the operation at Ujman

Vetëvendosje Movement MP Agim Bahtiri emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo is no longer taking steps backward, underlining that the rule of law and sovereignty are now enforced without any concessions.

He described the process of removing Serb prosecutors from Kosovo’s justice system as successfully completed, adding that those who abandoned local institutions to obey Belgrade will no longer have the opportunity to return to duty.

Through a social media post, Bahtiri wrote that the country has sent two strong signals that law and sovereignty are being enforced without compromise.

According to him, the decreeing of the resignations by acting President Albulena Haxhiu definitively sealed the epilogue of this matter. He added that the times when mayors of northern municipalities resigned and returned according to political interests belong to the past. Anyone who turns their back on Kosovo’s institutions because of Belgrade no longer has any path to reintegrate into the justice system, the MP declared.

Likewise, Bahtiri welcomed the operation to restore order at Lake Ujman, where 11 villas built without permits were demolished. This operation, according to him, proved that no one can appropriate state property and strategic assets anymore. Public land was returned to the citizens, he stressed.

At the end of the post, Bahtiri stressed that there is no turning back and that Kosovo is strengthening every day as a state of law, where law and not anarchy rules. He confirmed his full support for the institutions that safeguard public property and the sovereignty of the Republic.
