New drone attack in Russia / Wildberries hit again, one victim reported

On Wednesday, the distribution warehouses of Wildberries, Russia’s leading e-commerce company, were targeted by Ukrainian drones. This operation comes just four days after a prior offensive, where flames engulfed a warehouse on the outskirts of Moscow.

The governor of the Krasnodar region confirmed that one person died as a result of the strikes. It remains unclear from the authorities whether the individual was inside the Wildberries facilities or at another target hit during these attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the targets were “logistics centers involved in supplying Russian forces with drone parts, navigation systems, and other combat equipment.”

Previously, Zelensky had claimed that Wildberries served as a storage point for components needed in the construction of military drones. The Ukrainian head of state also said that Kyiv’s forces had targeted a fuel depot, a tanker, and four commercial vessels in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, as part of the campaign to damage Russia’s logistics chain.

“We are shifting the conflict to the invader’s territory, and this is fully deserved,” Zelensky emphasized. In recent months, Ukraine has significantly intensified the use of drones for strikes deep into Russian territory, aiming to undermine Moscow’s military power and push the Kremlin toward the negotiating table to end the war, which is now entering its fifth year.
