Drone Attack Hits Wildberries Warehouse in Yekaterinburg, More Than 2,000 Kilometers from Ukraine

A warehouse operated by Wildberries in Yekaterinburg caught fire following a drone attack. The facility is located more than 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Employees had left the premises before the strike, while shipments were redirected to other warehouses.

Artem Zhoga, the Russian president’s envoy to the Urals Federal District, said around 800 people were evacuated from the building. No casualties were reported. During the night, authorities activated a drone alert and temporarily imposed flight restrictions at Yekaterinburg airport.

Footage purportedly showing the moment of the attack has circulated on social media, but its authenticity has not been independently verified. Russian media outlet Agentstvo reports that more than 20 Wildberries warehouses have been hit since mid-July. Eight of the company’s 15 largest logistics centers are also said to have suspended operations.

Kyiv claims that Wildberries supplies the Russian military and has financial ties to the state-owned VTB bank. The company rejects the allegations and denies any involvement in military logistics.
