Mother Teresa University faces a shortage of space as student numbers rise

The rising number of students at Mother Teresa University in Skopje has deepened the need for additional facilities, at a time when construction of the new university campus has yet to begin.

To address the situation, the university’s Rectorate has asked government institutions for assistance in renovating and adapting the buildings currently in use.

Rector Bekim Fetahu says the existing facilities do not meet the university’s needs. According to him, until the new campus is completed, a temporary solution must be secured for one of the faculties, which will be relocated to another building.

“One of the faculties must be relocated to another building for an indefinite period, until the new university campus is built,” Fetahu said.

The Rectorate estimates that the increased interest in the university and the growing number of students have made the issue of facilities even more urgent. For this reason, it is calling for intervention by the institutions to improve conditions in the existing buildings until the new campus of Mother Teresa University is built.
