A new technology project of Albanian origin is seeking to establish a presence in the European artificial intelligence market. “Lumi” is a platform developed by Clirim Uskana and his team at the technology company Galveo, and is already being used in several of the company’s projects in Europe.
Unlike many artificial intelligence assistants that operate primarily on a question-and-answer model, “Lumi” has been designed to carry out a more comprehensive workflow. The system receives a request from the user, analyzes it, plans the necessary steps and completes the task, aiming to function more like a digital collaborator than simply a chatbot.

According to the team behind the project, Lumi was developed specifically for the needs of companies, shops and businesses, where artificial intelligence can be used not only to communicate with customers, but also to organize, track and complete everyday tasks.
One of the platform’s functions is also the automatic translation of content into more than 100 languages, reports Albeu.com.
Lumi integrated into the Listub application
One of the projects into which the technology has been integrated is the Listub application.
Through it, users can communicate with Lumi in a way similar to an ordinary conversation and give it direct instructions, such as: “Make me a shopping list for dinner for four people,” “Add Mom’s medications along with their schedule,” or “Which series had I left unfinished?”
The system interprets the request, prepares the information or carries out the relevant action, while the user only needs to review and confirm it.
From Kosovo to the international market with an Albanian name
The name of the artificial intelligence was also deliberately chosen by the Galveo team.
In an industry where most technology products have English names or names created specifically for the global market, Uskana and his team decided to use the Albanian word “Lumi.”
In this way, whenever a user in Germany, the United States, Brazil or other countries addresses the platform, they are also using a word from the Albanian language.
This philosophy is not limited to Lumi. Other projects developed by Galveo also bear Albanian names, including “Kambana,” “Mali” and “Kodra.”
Clirim Uskana and his team aim to promote elements of Albanian identity alongside the technology products they create for the international market.
“Lumi” currently represents the most prominent project reflecting this approach, as well as an effort by a team of Kosovar origin to compete in one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world: artificial intelligence. /albeu.com/
