Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari Meets Senator Joni K. Ernst, Focus on Deepening Cooperation

Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, commander of the Kosovo Security Force, held a meeting with U.S. Senator Joni K. Ernst of Iowa.

During the visit, Ernst was accompanied by Anu Prattipati, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the United States of America in Pristina, as well as Major General Stephen Osborn, Adjutant General of Iowa.

According to the statement, Jashari thanked the senator for her visit and praised the continued support that the United States of America has provided to the Republic of Kosovo and the KSF.

The talks focused on current developments, the future and priorities of the KSF, as well as the importance of continuing cooperation with the United States of America. The parties also exchanged views on the current security situation and the challenges they face together, the statement said.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the KSF commander expressed his gratitude to Senator Ernst for her visit and her contribution to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America. He emphasized the need to further deepen the partnership and bilateral relations in the defense and security sectors.
