Kurti avoids answers on continuation of talks with PDK and LDK, focuses on energy project

Asked by the media whether consultations with the leaders of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo will continue for the establishment of new institutions, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti chose not to give a direct answer.

“We are here for energy-related issues,” Kurti briefly stated, without offering any details on whether another invitation would be sent to political entities.

This statement was made during the inauguration of the start of works for the Solar Park in Rahovec.

Earlier, as part of talks on forming the new executive and legislature after the snap elections for the eleventh legislature, Kurti received on July 10 at the headquarters of the Assembly of Kosovo, separately, the chairmen of PDK and LDK.

The meetings took place after the Central Election Commission approved the final election results on July 8. According to these data, the Vetëvendosje Movement came first with 47.13% of the votes, securing 53 seats in the Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranks second with 19.44% or 22 deputies, while the Democratic League of Kosovo won 18 seats with 16.69%. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo received 6.74%, giving it seven mandates, while non-majority communities hold a total of 20 seats.
