Konjufca attends Marco Rubio’s ministerial meeting in Washington, discusses threat of political terrorism

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Glauk Konjufca announced that he attended a ministerial meeting in Washington, D.C., focused on the growing risk of political terrorism. The meeting was organized by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

In a Facebook post, Konjufca said Kosovo’s presence at the ministerial meeting gives the country an opportunity to take part in international efforts to prevent political terrorism and strengthen security mechanisms.

He stressed that political terrorism is emerging in increasingly organized forms and is no longer confined within state borders. According to Konjufca, this phenomenon exploits international networks, financing and digital space to undermine stability and democratic institutions.

Konjufca stated that the United States of America is Kosovo’s closest ally and strategic partner. He underlined that cooperation with the United States and partner countries is essential to creating a safer environment and preserving the values on which democracies are founded.

According to him, Kosovo will continue to contribute to every initiative that strengthens international cooperation and serves global peace and security.
